For one of our clients in the trust industry, we are looking for a Compliance Officer.
Responsabilities include:
• Develop, review, and update internal policies and the compliance program, and monitor adherence
• Conduct, review, and monitor risk assessments
• Review and approve client files and monitor ongoing file reviews
• Provide training to employees to ensure awareness of applicable laws and regulations
• Execute and monitor internal controls and transaction monitoring
• Perform background checks
• Report to management and local authorities on compliance matters
• Coordinate and guide compliance audits
• Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders, and advise management on compliance-related issues
Requirements
Education & Experience
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or regulatory role (more if in a senior capacity).
• Proven experience in:
– Designing or managing compliance programs
– Performing risk assessments
– Monitoring internal controls
– Coordinating audits
– Working with regulators or government authorities
Skills & Knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of local laws and regulations (e.g., AML, GDPR, financial regulations, and sector-specific requirements)
• Experience with transaction monitoring and background screening tools
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (for drafting policies, reports, and training)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to train and educate staff on compliance-related topics
Certifications (preferred)
• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
