Transaction Monitoring & Sanctions Assistant Manager

Your Role: 

The role of the Assistant Manager Transaction Monitoring & Sanctions ("TM&S") is responsible for the daily management of the Americas TM&S Team. This involves responsibility and leading the team for daily client and related party screening, pre-event transaction screening and post event transaction monitoring. 

The main purpose of the role is to establish and manage an efficient and effective operations (“being in control”) while complying with legislation and regulations for the Americas Banks’ operational activities. 

• You will be involved in the day to day management of the Transaction Monitoring & Sanctions Team;
• You will ensure the processes for daily client and related party screening, pre-event transaction screening and post event transaction monitoring as well as other tasks that fall in the teams resposibility are properly organized;
• Monitor and control work flows and distribution amongst the TM officers within the team;
• You will ensure oversight and control of the central group email boxes; 
• You will provide feedback on your teams tasks, assisting with goal-setting and 1-1s to further each team members development and performance
• You will provide, manage and update the TM Procedures , work instructions, process flows and templates and making sure that the Team follows those Procedures;
• You will do the TM status reporting to management;
• You will liaise with other Citco entities, stakeholders and clients to obtain documentation;
• You will represent Citco Bank Nederland N.V. in meetings on TM related issues;
• You will actively manage operational Risk within the team, ensuring timely reporting of incidents and closure of action plans;

About You:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Law, Business Administration, or similar proficiency gained through work experience.
• You can demonstrate in depth expertise and knowledge of the Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions Act and European equivalent legislation as well as have very strong understanding of AML/CFT risks and the controls used to apply them.
• You have demonstrated experience in Transaction Monitoring and/or KYC work within the financial service industry, Hedge fund industry and/or trust business experience is an advantage.
• You have previous experience in oversee and leading a team;
• You have strongly proven managerial and operational skills;
• You have good communication skills, both verbal and written (in English);
• You must have good planning and time management/prioritization skills in order to meet strict deadlines;
• You can work successfully within a team as well as individually; 
• You are capable of knowledge sharing and mentoring other team members as required
• You are an excellent communicator.
